About 80 percent of couples said that they had stayed at the venue over the course of the night, and so did the majority of their guests. Also, 20% of couples had to fly to their wedding location which means that their guests probably too. This is reflected in the average cost of being a wedding guest that fluctuates from year to year. The average guest spending for those who travel in any way (either by car or air) ranges from $600 and $1,440, according to our data.
